About Social Innovation Initiative
The Social Innovation Initiative was created in 2009 by the Tony R. Wells Foundation in partnership with the Ohio State University.
Our goal is to build a vibrant community of positive social change agents that will launch innovative solutions to tackle social, economic and environmental challenges around the world. Our unique approach goes beyond the classroom theory and participating in traditional business plan competitions – we actually help build and take socially benefiting products to market.
Working together with faculty, students and nonprofit leaders we teach Social Innovation through experiential learning, commercialize new socially benefiting products and create new sources of revenue for our local nonprofits.
Faculty and students from the following colleges are involved.
