A Kid Again

A Kid Again, together with photographer Mark Williams, published a remarkable coffee table book entitled "Being A Kid Again". The book gives the readers a powerful look into the lives of 17 precious children.

The funding was provided by the Harry C. Moores Foundation and the Tony R. Wells Foundation and will help the organization generate an extra $25,000 in unrestricted income in the upcoming year.

GroundWork Group

GroundWork Group was started in 2005 to enhance the capacity of nonprofits to achieve their mission through affordable information management, education and technology solutions. Today, GroundWork Group is a self sustaining organization providing services to over 160 nonprofit organizations, employs twelve people and has an operating budget of $1.3 million.

Initial seed funding was provided by United Way of Central Ohio and the Tony R. Wells Foundation. In a partnership with business, nonprofits and community stakeholders additional support has been provided by the Nationwide Foundation, Microsoft, Cisco, IBM, The Columbus Foundation, Huntington National Bank, and many others.

LA Catering

LA Catering is a social venture of LifeCare Alliance and was created after recognizing the need to increase funding in order to be able to service all those in need in Central Ohio. Social entrepreneurship activities, which often consist of a for-profit type services, provided a way to increase revenue while leveraging internal resources. LA Catering complimented the core knowledge in preparing packaged meals offered through LifeCare Alliance's Meals-on-Wheels service.

LA Catering has become one of the fifteen largest revenue catering companies in Central Ohio providing associates the opportunity to earn extra income and their chefs to display their creativity. LA Catering, along with our fundraising efforts, allow Life Care Alliance to accept all clients in our Meal-on-Wheels and dining center programs.

Freshbox Catering is a boxed lunch catering company that combines a premium menu with a premium mission. 100% of the proceeds benefit work-training programs at Faith Mission Homeless Shelters. When you purchase from Freshbox, you'll receive a delicious, made-to-order meal and simultaneously become a participant in social change.
